Geraldine “Teeny” “Geri” M. Arthur, 69, Janesville, passed away at her home on Saturday, April 11, 2020. She was born August 13, 1950 in Sparta, WI to Spencer and Fern (Olson) LaDue. Geri was a 1969 graduate of Sparta High School. She was married to Daniel C. Marsden, the father of her children. She then married Paul Arthur.
Geri worked a number of jobs, but she spent the most time taking care of making sure the children made it safe to Lincoln Elementary School as their crossing guard.
She enjoyed playing bingo, scrabble, bowling, and canasta. Geri liked to ride with Paul in the semi-truck around the country. Her great joy though was being with her grandchildren followed closely by her little companion Sweetpea.
Geri is survived by her husband Paul; two children: Ryan (Nicole) Marsden and their children: Nathan, Jacob, Patrick, Chandler, Jeremiah, and Benjamin; Melissa (Jim) Hagar and their children: Kennedy, Kayleigh, and Lila; her sister Kathryn Woodworth; sisters-in-law: Anna LaDue and Vicki Riley; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Kelly; granddaughter Liberty; and siblings: Delores Meltz, James LaDue, Sally Walls, Spencer LaDue, Shirley Garves, Jeanette LaDue, Margaret LaDue, Dale LaDue, Gerald LaDue, and Glenn LaDue.
Geraldine’s services will be held at a later date in the year. Please visit to send condolences to the family and to watch for an update on her services.

Geri was a good friend to me when we were growing up. We went to school together from grade school through high school. And I'm sorry to say we kind of lost touch after that. I think the last time I saw her was at Gary and Kathy's 50th Anniversary. We would talk every once in a while on Messenger when both of us would have time. (Which wasn't very often). I will miss my friend. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with the whole family.

Geri, who I still called Teeny, was my aunt, although there was about only 3 years difference in our ages. I remember her when we were both very young, and I would be visiting them in Sparta. She was always fun when she was little, and when she grew older as well. We hadn't kept touch much over the last several years, but I will still miss her very much. With her health issues that she had, I hope she is in a better place and smiling down on us.
