Tanya Popanz (Vincent)
Tanya L. Popanz, age 48 of Janesville, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, Otober 28, 2017 at her home. She was born September 16, 1969 in Woodstock, IL, the daughter of Paul Vincent & Marjory J. (Sherman) Vincent Duncan. She was a graduate of Parker High School, Class of 1986. She was a graduate of UW-Whitewater with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She also attended Blackhawk Technical College in the Nursing Program, and was a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
She was working at the Peking Chinese Restaurant at the time of her passing.
Tanya will be remembered as a person with a “heart of gold” who always was more interested in caring for others! She would stop and help anyone who looked like they could use a helping hand! She was a very compassionate person! She loved reading and loved being on the water! Her love for animals was immense, and she would bring home all sorts of creatures if she thought she could help it.
She is survived by her beloved son, Nathan Popanz, of Evansville; her parents, Lloyd and Marjie Duncan, of Janesville; her adoptive brother, Brett Stienke, of Ft. Wayne, IN; and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Vincent, and by her son, Drew Aaron Brown, in 2007.
Funeral services for Tanya will take place at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, November 3, 2017 at ROXBURY RD. CHURCH OF CHRIST, 2103 Roxbury Rd., with Rev. Jon Grice officiating. Entombment will follow in Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will take place from 10:30 until 12:00 P.M. on Friday at the CHURCH. Memorials in Tanya’s name may be made to Roxbury Rd. Church of Christ.
